I loved the sets & costumes, the era details thrown in and the characters aren't bad ... (*in hushed tones* ... it's no Mad Men though, is it?)
I adore images of retro travel -- a time when people dressed up to travel and airlines included all the extras as a matter of travel.
Watch this space for great photos from the Air & Space Museum's current exhibit on air travel in the 1950's, my daughter and I fit in a trip to the Smithsonian museum before school started.

enjoyed the show, especially the set and the lovely period costumes. i thought the plot/characters might be a little thin? hard to tell, i was finishing a book while watching, and i might've missed something.

I watched the show too and have to agree with your friend Molly. Loved the setting and the costumes, but not sure about the story line. I will watch it again to see where it goes. Good music too.

ReplyDeleteI missed the show, but I do remember when we dressed up to fly, and ate meals on trips that were 2 hour flights. That's a thing of the past now I'm afraid! Times have changed since my dad flew for Eastern Airlines!! We've gone to flip flops and a pack of peanuts (if we're lucky)! Thanks for the vintage images! xo Jina
