I've been wanting to make a yarn wreath forever, I was so excited to finish this project in time for St. Patrick's Day!
Here are the materials I used: yarn in a lime green and white, kelly green felt, foam wreath form, glue stick and shamrock cookie cutter to trace!
I started by wrapping the form with the lime green yarn using a little glue to hold the first few loops in place; it only took half the roll of yarn to cover the whole form!
Next, I traced shamrocks out of the green felt, cut them out and glued them on the form using craft glue -- the glue stick wasn't strong enough! I let them dry...
Next, I used white yarn (just a little) to make the "argyle" cross over the shamrock, bring it around the back and crossing over the next shamrock.

Oh my goodness I love this! I have a little box of seasonal craft ideas and this is totally going in it for next year! Its the kind of thing kids could help out with easily, too, which makes it extra awesome.
